Will I ever be found?!

"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the LORD. "

This is what Proverbs 18 verse 22 says. That a wife is a good thing. I know I am a good thing. But when will i be found? Where is this man who is supposed to find me? Who is he and is he looking for me?

Ahhh... just a little trickle of frustration... My birthday is coming up soon and I am turning twenty six years old. Darn it! I feel so old and left out.

It's not a seldom issue for ladies like me who get to a point where we ask ourselves "Will I ever be found?" Factors like age, and friends from all over already in a serious relationship. They have already built a family, taking care of little babies and fun stuff married people do... (Hahaha.. seriously!!!)

I firmly believe that what I desire, the longing to be found is embedded to my core by God Himself. It is for a purpose that He wants me to be in His perfect will. This man will be a strength to me like Jesus is. He will a source of peace and serenity like Jesus is. He is fun loving. He is smart. He thoughtful. And he loves God even before he met me.

And my future husband will love me like Jesus loves His bride. (What an awesome place to be in!)

I told my friend one time that finally I have 3 characteristics I would like my man to have.
  1. He must be a lover and a follower of God
  2. He must be financially ok
  3. He must be pleasing to my eyes (crazy to say, but point number 3 means that finding him attractive even if others do not is an entirely personally preference and a genetic code deep within my soul. A certain "type" would probably be too much for you readers if I put all of mine in.)

Nevertheless, despite the stamp I placed at the start, the eye crying for her beloved would surely wait no longer. The tears will be wiped gently and the heart that has called out for so long, hoarse as it may be, will whisper, "I am found!"
